The complete name of Machine Gun Kelly is Richard Colson Baker. He was born on April 22nd, 1990 in Houston, Texas. When he was growing up, his parents were missionaries. It means that he often traveled with his family. With his family, he spent time living in German, Egypt and many other nations all around the world. Besides, he also lived in a lot of different US states. After his mother left the family, then Baker and his father lived in Denver.

When he was a teen, he was bullied. He started fighting back by using words. Then, he fell in love with rap and began to work on his own music.
