Jeff Dunham was born on April 18, 1962 in Dallas, Texas, the United States of America. When he was still really small, he was adopted by Howard and Joyce Dunham. His adopted parents raised him in a Presbyterian home. 1970 was the year when he started to take interest in ventriloquism after getting a Mortimer Snerd dummy as a Christmas present. At the time, he was only 8 years old. He then visited a library to check out about ventriloquism. When he was in the fourth grade, he started dreaming to be a professional ventriloquist.
