Garth’s career began in 1985 after graduating from college where he started playing guitar and singing in local bars and clubs. An entertainment attorney drove from Dallas to Stillwater, Oklahoma offered him to produce his first demo. Then, Garth left from Nashville to look for a record contract.

His first album which was released in 1989 is ‘Hungry Years’ which peaked at #2 on the country album charts. His first #1 hit ‘If Tomorrow Never Comes’ is not this album. Garth then went out on tour in that same year as the opening act or country music legend Kenny Rogers.

Garth eventually released his second album ‘No Fences’ in 1990 and spent 23 wekks in the #1 spot on country albums charts. This is his highest-selling album with four number one country singles off the album. His third album ‘Ropin’s the Wind’ was released in 1991 and also debuted on the main album charts at #1.

In fact, this was his first time to accomplish this feat. Moreover, he was also the first country artist to have 3 albums in the Billboard 200’s album chart top 20 at the same time. His fourth album ‘The Chase’ was released in the fall of 1992.

Garth eventually released ‘In Pieces’ in 1993 and hit #1 on the country and main charts. He embarked on his first world tour that same year, selling out the Wembley Arena in England, a first for an American country show.

They then did the same kind of concert on CBS where the fee was donated $1 million to pandemic relief causes. Well, the CBS broadcast successfully attracted 5.6 million viewers. On July 7, this couple went back to Facebook Live for another event and also took song requests from fans.

Garth performed a concert which was broadcast at 300 drive-in theaters in the Canada and U.S in late June 2020.

Garth Brooks was born on February 7, 1962 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. His parents are Troyal Raymond Brooks and Colleen McElroy Carroll. His mother was a country singer in the 1950s and his father was a draftsman for an oil company. Garth has four older half-siblings and one older sister.

He met his first wife, Sandy Mahl while they were in college. He married her on May 24, 1986. They had 3 daughters, August, Allie and Taylor. He and Sandy Mahl divorced on December 17, 2001. Reportedly, this is one of the most expensive divorces of all time where he paid Sandy a $125 million settlement. Then, He remarried to country singer, Trisha Yearwood on December 10, 2005.
